Summer update

Summer is rushing by, it has been a funny summer with a very wet December and January but now it looks like we are heading into some more settled weather.  The one positive is that with the rain things have remained green and the gardens are looking good.

 

Over Christmas we took time out with family, got to the beach, caught some fish and had a relaxing time heading into the new year.   While December was a relaxed month, with not many bookings, January was very busy with guests from all over the world and locally, for many it is their first or last night in New Zealand so a special time.  We have also helped some special occasions with brides and grooms on their wedding nights.

 While bookings are about the same level as last year we are still busy and have plenty of availability so we would love to be able to offer you some Thornton House hospitality.  Remember, Cambridge is an ideal location for a few days break with day trips to either coast, Waitomo, Rotorua and Hobbiton, and the many local activities.
