Autumn update

Summer is coming to an end as we head in Autumn and the more settled weather with those still days and the gardens changing.

We had our busiest February ever and March is looking good, with events such as the rowing at Karapiro. It seems the overseas visitors are returning and we have noticed a big increase in those from USA along with the many Aussies travelling over the ditch.  It has a pleasure to have guests from all over the world and locally, especially brides and grooms on their wedding nights.  For many of our guests it is their first or last night in New Zealand so a special time.

The following are some very recent feedback comments from guests:

"Absolutely delightful! Of all the places we have stayed on our honeymoon, this is definitely the most special.  Everything was perfect: room, garden, breakfast, cats and of course the hosts."  - Carl and Susannah, Australia

"Beautifully done, such superb attention to detail and so relaxing.  A divine breakfast."  Barb and Pat, Auckland.

A wonderful way to begin the new year.  Idyllic setting, everything was delightful, delicious and lovely!"  Maria and Jonathon and Jim, USA

While bookings are steady we have some availability this month and plenty in April and May.  These are such wonderful months in Cambridge with all its grand old trees and the falling leaves. We would love to be able to offer you some Thornton House hospitality.  Remember, Cambridge is an ideal location for a few days break with day trips to either coast, Waitomo, Rotorua and Hobbiton, and the many local activities.

Special regards,

Christine and David
